The land of China is brimming with poetic charm, especially during the Tang Dynasty when classical Chinese poetry reached its zenith. The Tang era, spanning three hundred years, witnessed the emergence of a plethora of talented poets who left behind timeless masterpieces. The “Complete Collection of Tang Poetry,” compiled by scholars of the Qing Dynasty, encompasses more than 48,900 poems by over 2,300 poets. The sheer volume of Tang poetry, along with its wide range of themes, diverse imagery and styles, and the perfect fusion of thoughtfulness and artistry, heralded a golden age where all forms of poetry flourished. Tang poetry represents the eternal pinnacle of Chinese cultural achievement.
