Should College Students Hire Cleaners?Recently, the report about some college students who hired cleaners to do laundry and cleaning in thedorm has immediately sparked a heated debate. Personally, I think that such practice should not be
encouraged at colleges.Firstly, college students should have the capability to do laundry and cleaning. Doing family chores is asimple way to cultivate independence. If college students cannot do such simple things, they cannot takecare of themselves, let alone other complex things. Hence, it is a bit ironic for those young adults, whoalways claim that they are totally independent of their parents in this respect.Secondly, college students should feel ashamed of spending their parents’ hard-earned money inthis way.
